PRODUCT CARE

How to Care for Your Jewelry:

To keep your jewelry looking its best, it's a good idea to avoid contact with chemicals like hair products, perfumes, and cosmetics. These can cause damage over time. Direct sunlight can also affect certain materials, so it’s worth considering how long your pieces are exposed to it. Keeping your jewelry away from water and harsh substances like vinegar, lemon, bleach, or acidic foods is also helpful in maintaining their condition.

Removing your jewelry before sports or more physical activities can help protect it. Similarly, taking it off before entering a pool, jacuzzi, sauna, or showering is a good practice, as water and heat can affect the materials.

When storing your jewelry, it’s always a good idea to fasten the clasps of your chains to keep them from tangling or getting damaged. And for a simple way to maintain their shine, wiping your pieces with a soft cloth can keep them looking fresh.

If your jewelry has gemstones, keep in mind that these natural gems can be sensitive to certain conditions. Some gemstones may have been treated (like heat-treated, irradiation, oil, preassure, glass filling, etc.) to enhance their color or clarity, and these treatments may require extra care. It's best to avoid exposing them to extreme heat or harsh chemicals, as these can sometimes affect the treatment or even the gemstone itself.

Treating your jewelry with care helps preserve its beauty. If your piece has rhodium plating, you may want to consider having it re-coated every now and then. If you’re in Mexico City, we’re happy to help with this service.
